After sharing your health concerns and what you hope to achieve with chiropractic care, you will receive an exam of your spine, nervous system, and any other joints causing you concern, such as wrist or knee.
In most cases you will receive your first adjustment following the exam. If X-Rays are needed, Dr. Phillips will refer you to an imaging facility.
Together, you and Dr. Phillips will devise a treatment plan based on the exam findings and your goals. Treatment primarily includes chiropractic adjustments but may also include at-home stretches, nutritional supplements, soft tissue mobilization, and palliative therapies such as biofreeze gel and therapeutic taping. -
“Adjustment” is the word chiropractors use for the manipulation of spinal vertebrae and other joints in the body. At every visit Dr. Phillips’ goal is to address your health concerns by asking thoughtful questions and analyzing your body in order to give precise adjustments that get results. The adjusting techniques you may experience include Diversified, Palmer-Gonstead, Thompson, Activator, and extremity adjusting. Your treatment may also incorporate additional therapies such as stretches, soft tissue mobilization, and therapeutic taping.
